Teach Yourself

I am a little partial to the teach yourself series of books. Usually, my favourite bookstore, Landmark does not stock them in large numbers and it is with some luck that one can locate any teach yourself book there. Therefore I was delighted to find, on a recent visit, that Landmark has a huge set of those books now. On a quick glance, I saw that the languages, creative arts and business & careers sections were covered. I am looking forward to the rest of them!

Is it something like the Dummies series? haven't heard of it before.

It is like a starter training material on a specialized area but I would rate it much higher than the Dummies series. But yeah, it is somewhat similar.

seems ur an avid book reader...i like to read as well, never tried out teach yourself series, but it sounds interesting nevertheless.

@amrita: thanks for stopping by! teach yourself is very good IMHO. Do check it out.

About me

  • I'm Echo/Lavanya
  • From Chennai, India
  • So, we are curious now? My folks named me Lavanya, and it does have a meaning. I named myself Echo, for this blog. And that has a meaning too. Therefore, I have more than one name; I can walk; I can talk; I can read; I can even write; I can count - 9 'I's already and that is absolutely disgusting; I can also lie about numbers. Do you need to hear more?
